Their mission is saving lives through the creation, development, and delivery of innovative training experiences that empower organizations, communities, and individuals to be safer from suicide.
The AFSP Virginia Chapter is the local extension of the national American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The AFSP mission is to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide. This is done through local fundraising that provides education for the public about mental health and suicide prevention, advocates for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention, and supports survivors of suicide loss and those by suicide.

The MindPeace Miracles 501c3 nonprofit organization combines strong community with a proven program of targeted healing tools. Founder, Elaine Alpert, M.ED, provides resources, tools and support for mother's who have experienced grief due to suicide loss as well as other tragic means.
Community Crisis Services, Inc.
The non-profit Community Crisis Services, Inc. has become a one-stop calling center for information & compassionate assistance for those in crisis. Calling the Hotline is often the first step an individual makes to access the mental health services & social service organizations within the community. We are here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for anyone facing crisis & personal turmoil.
Our vision is to provide compassionate crisis support through our hotline, safe shelter programs and information & referral services.
